Classroom Organization

I am a very organized person so I know I am going to want my classroom to look nice and have everything organized. I made a wishlist of what I want in my classroom to keep my classroom organized. My Amazon wishlist includes:

  1. Iris 4x6 photo and embellishment craft case. This is perfect for storing card games like "I have Who has?" cards, manipulatives, crayons, and more.

  2. Small Sterilite 5 storage Unit. This will be used to store markers, pencils, erasers, colored pencils, rulers, and glue sticks.

  3. Answer buzzers. This will be used during a jeopardy review game.

  4. Storex caddy 9.25x9.25x5.25. This will be used for the desks in mt classroom. I will place the tables together to create group tables and each table will have the same number of supplies. This also makes it easier for me to call on students to come to the carpet.

  5. Expo low odor dry erase markers. This is to prevent headaches when I am writing on the white board and is also better for students to use on their whiteboards.

  6. Bankers box decorative eight compartment sorter. This will be used to organize the students work. The first 5 compartment will be labeled for Monday-Friday and depending on what I assign it will have the students homework, projects, and worksheets, the sixth compartment is for late work, and the eight compartment is for graded papers.

  7. Pentel EnterGel RTX Retractable Liquid Gel Pens. This will be used to grade papers, write comments on students work, write lesson plans, jot down notes, write in my planner, and writing the students holiday cards.

  8. Paper Mate Flair Tip Pens. This will be used for my planner and to grade papers and write comments on students work.

  9. Pencil Tip Design Pen Holder. This will be used to hold my pens and pencils on my desk.

  10. The First Days of School: How to Be an EffectiveTeacher by  Harry Wong. This is essential for me to have as a first year teacher and will save me from having panic and anxiety attacks.

The videos I linked below will remind me what I can use my supplies for as well as remembering other supplies that I forgot to purchase.

Next to these tasks I will have a column that says "Day Taught" and next to that I will have four columns with the number 1 for modeled, 2 for practiced, 3 and 4 for reinforced.

When the students have to line up to go to specials, lunch, and recess they will follow the 4 S's line rules.

Routine:

In my classroom, I will have two posters. One poster will be for the classroom morning routine and the other poster is for the dismissal routine. I will introduce the routine to my students and go over the expectations.
